Vision 2035
Back in August, we completed a campus plan that both addresses capital needs, repairs and some hopes and wishes to help serve our community. Vision 2035 is a ten-year plan. This Feasibility Study will help us hear your priorities and input as we put a plan in place to begin addressing our needs as outlined in the preliminary case statement found by clicking/tapping on the button below.
August 2025 Updates
On Monday, August 25th, the Vision 2035 Steering Committee presented the results and renderings the progress that began in early 2024. Last fall, the committee selected Marcus Brothers Construction to lead the Master planning Process that looked at the ongoing capital needs of the parish along with current and future building needs. Through this process, the committee facilitated over 50 focus groups and townhall meetings and heard from over 1,000 members! The feedback was highly valuable and led to the creation of the Vision 2035 Master Plan that includes:
this will serve as dedicated school parking and recess space during the school day and overflow parking for evenings and weekends, while improving traffic flow for school pick up and drop off.
that incorporate necessary repairs now, while being mindful of future additions or renovations (ie, tuckpointing, roof repair, new HVAC, etc.)
through an addition onto the Lehner Center and Mother Teresa Room including adding onto the service hallway to create additional storage space. These additional meeting rooms will be able to accommodate our ministries that have outgrown the current space.
The existing kitchen was designed to serve school lunch and host occasional events almost 25 years ago. Our parish, and the number of meals we serve each month and through our different events has increased greatly over the years, and we need a kitchen that can keep up with our needs.
This would include a stage space for the many parish and school concerts and events we host as well as provide an improved, elevated platform for Christmas and Easter Mass.
Connecting the buildings would increase safety for school children during the day and allow for members to access the different buildings without being outside in the elements.
These classrooms would create brand new STEAM space that could be utilized by the school during the day, while creating additional space for parish ministries in the evening.
GET PREPARED
While these renderings capture the high level vision and idea for vision 2035, they are not blue prints or final plans. These are the starting point to create the vision for what our parish and school community can look like if we all choose to work together.
VISION 2035
In early 2024, the Vision 2035 Committee was formed to explore the program and facility needs of our parish for the next 10 years.
The leadership team of Vision 2035 has been entrusted with the process of assessing our parish campus/facilities; listening to and reviewing parish ministry needs, and creating a master facility and campus plan for our community that responds to these needs over the next ten years.
PROCESS
Call upon the Holy Spirit to guide our parish community as we discern and plan for our future.
Build on the foundation of the Vision 2020 process (which started in 2010) that allowed our parish to imagine and develop the Saint Ambrose campus we know today.
Engage as many parish leaders and members as possible in the process of assessing, listening, and planning.
Use the Vision 2035 process to create effective, efficient and fiscally responsible plans which maximize current facilities and are responsive and reasonable to addressing our future needs.
Inform, educate and communicate with our members over the next six-months so that at the conclusion of the Vision 2035 process, our entire parish community should have a clear understanding of the campus and facility repairs, and capital expenses that need to be addressed over the next ten years, along with our campus and facility needs to support our growing and thriving community of faith.
Be inspiring!!! Our parish is best when we are together. Our parish is best when we allow the Spirit to stir our hearts and conversations. Together for the glory of God.
