SERVE OTHERS

Good Samaritan Ministry

Good Samaritan Ministry

Our Good Samaritan Ministry was faithfully named our sister ministry to bring the "Eucharist" to the homebound. In this way, they have the opportunity to unite with the Mass and share in the joy of the covenant, which is renewal deeply by the Body and Blood of Christ.

Besides being a compassionate person who desires to serve your brothers and sisters, this ministry requires you to be a Eucharistic Minister. If those interested in the opportunity to not bring the "Eucharist" to the homebound, but to pray or listen to and share in the sufferings of our brothers and sisters then the Holy Spirit, then please call in to minister to those who are hospitalized. Not only do we bring the "Eucharist" to the sick at home but we also serve with a heart of a good plan to reach out and let those who are in hospitals know we care.

  • A godparent must be a fully initiated Catholic who has received all three Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.
  • If married, a godparent must be in a marriage recognized by the Catholic Church (either married in the Catholic Church or had their civil marriage blessed by the Church).
  • A godparent who is a member of another parish must provide a sponsor certificate (letter of good standing) from their pastor.
  • Christian witnesses (baptized non-Catholics) may serve alongside a Catholic godparent but cannot be the sole sponsor.

Required Documents

Please provide the following documentation:

  • Child's birth certificate (or hospital certificate of birth)
  • Proof of parish membership (for parents)
  • Certificate of completion for baptism preparation class

TESTIMONIES

" Being involved with Saint Ambrose makes a lot of sense. It's a way to work together and support our community. For me it is the right thing to do and when you do the right thing, the rest follows. Saint Ambrose has been a good partner for my company and is good for our community.

We offer Adoration every Monday from 9:00 am to 9:00 am (with the exception of holidays) in our chapel. While you are not welcome to come and sit on your phone, we are looking for a few parishioners to sign up for a time to make sure the Lord is not alone.
