All Saints’ Day, observed annually on November 1, honors the saints in Heaven – those who have been recognized by the Church as saints, as well as those who have not been canonized.
All Saints is a churchwide Holy Day of Obligation and normally celebrated on November 1. If the first day of November falls on a Saturday or Monday, at least in the United States, the obligation to attend Mass is abrogated.
